5 out of 5 stars I LOVE my Brita pitcher   July 29, 2007
3 out of 3 found this review helpful

Takes the chemical taste right out of my tap water, it is just the right shape and size for my needs. Very stylish, too. Only quibble is that when I pour water out of it into a container, it drips from the spout. Not sure why it does that, but otherwise, it is great. It is saving me a ton of money on bottled water, and really does make my tap water taste clean and pure. SO GLAD I bought my Brita pitcher system.

5 out of 5 stars Turned Rotten Egg Water into Sparkling Eau di Vie!   March 20, 2006

My apartment is one of those "luxury" shindigs. Unfortunately, the water is terrible! When I turned the sink fauced on I could smell the horrible Rotten Egg scent and it made coffee/rice/pasta taste disgusting. I had my water checked but the city said it's "within limits" which is infurating. I bought a Brita pitcher hoping it might take out some of the scent/taste. I was wrong -- the Brita pitcher took out ALL of the horrible scent and taste and my water is perfect! Highly recommend this product if your water: tasted bad, smells bad, has a metallic/chlorine after taste.

I love the slim shape of this pitcher..it easily fits in the refrigerator without taking up precious space. The water tastes great and the replacement filters are universal, fitting any Brita pitcher.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent small filter fits easily in fridge.   January 27, 2007

This has been a great pitcher for filtered water. The water tastes so much better than straight from the faucet and you can occasionally see bits of the stuff filtered out and left in the filter, so you know it's working. Some have complained about the black flecks in their water. However, while I do get some black flecks (presumably charcoal) in the top segment of the pitcher, as long as you get the filter completely into the holder the flecks do NOT get in your drinking water. If the filter is not in securely, water will leak around it and not get filtered. As for the bits in the top part of the pitcher, I simply rinse these flecks out occasionally with no problem.

I'm the only one in the household who drinks filtered water, so the small size is convenient. It fits really easily in the fridge, and being small means it's not too heavy to lift with one hand. The 3-pack of filters are affordable and work well. I find the filters actually last up to a month longer than what the package says.
