Product Description Poaching is a great cooking method perfect for seafood; it imparts a lot of moisture into the food without masking the delightful flavor. Constructed of low-carbon steel with glass coating, this fish poacher does not contain PFOA's or other chemicals to alter the taste of food, the food's color, or compromise your health. At 22-1/2-inches, this poacher is large enough to fit a whole easy and features handles that allow you to poach your fish at a low or high profile setting. This chip-resistant poacher is easy-to-clean by hand.

Well made September 26, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
If you buy the wild salmon fillet from Costco, this is the perfect pan to use to bake or poach. It also is the perfect shape for 2 pork loins to be baked. As the other reviewer noted, due to the loop shaped protruding handles, I had to angle the pan to get it to fit inside my standard sized oven. Although it is dishwasher safe I plan to hand wash it due to its size. Also I want to minimize rust (I have an old canning pot I use to cook crabs in and it's about 20 years old and just now is starting to rust where it was scratched). This pan is very sturdy so it should give many years of service. Actually I think the stainless steel rack alone is worth the current price of this pan. Enjoy this great deal.

This pan deserves kudos. Well made and good sized as well as a great bargain.
Very large and dramatic well-made whole fish poacher October 2, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Aware that it is not permitted to cite the Friday sale price of an item after the deal has expired, allow me to say that at about 80 percent off the manufacturer's suggested full retail price, this was a bargain too good to pass up since I know many fine cooks as I work in a fine natural foods emporium. I bought it in anticipation of learning of an elopement and I needed to find a splashy inexpensive gift which said "wedding" but not "why wasn't I invited to the reception. Here is my ticket price." Anyway I really like it and I hope the people I bought it for actually make it formal before I give it to someone else. It really is quite grand but not too fancy.
A little too big. September 12, 2008 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
This item is well built and certainly big enough for any fish a regular family is likely to buy from the supermarket. The biggest problem with it, unfortunately, is also its size. Specifically, it does not fit in my oven. Steaming over two stove burners, however, is a possible application.

Graniteware 22-1/2 Inch Fish Poacher with Rack Purchased this to take with us in camper when we travel. Have not yet used it but my husband was impressed with it. My only complaint is it did not come with any receipe ideas etc. That is one thing they should consider. Anxious to try lobster in it.
