Product Description Enjoy a wonderfully warm towel right after you bath. Nothing feels quite like a warm towel after a shower or bath. The 75 watt Filotherm element, which heats the towel warmers, is safe, maintenance free, energy efficient and begins to heat up almost immediately. With very little assembly required you'll be enjoying your heated towel rack as soon as it arrives. An added benefit to this feature is that, while not intended to heat a room, it will help control moisture in a damp room. This makes it perfect for rooms that are prone to mildew, and ideal for drying the humid sea air from boat cabins! This bathroom towel warmer is soft wired, has an illuminated power switch, 7 ft cord, and plugs into any standard electrical outlet. This heated bathroom towel rack can be setup as a wall mounted or a free standing towel rack. Towel heaters available in Chrome, Polished Brass, and Satin Nickel, . 24" w x 31.5" h x 3.75" d (wall mount) . A restocking fee will be deducted if this item is returned.
Amazon.com Review Oil-free, liquid-free, and about as energy-efficient as a light bulb, this chrome-plated drying rack from Heatra adds a new dimension of comfort to your bath, changing room, or boat. The rack features Filatherm technology, a dry-element design that can be run 24 hours a day. You can use it to warm and refresh towels between showers, or to dry delicates, winter wear, and swimming gear after use. It's also handy for adding gentle warmth to baby clothes and bedding. Warm-up time takes about 15 minutes, and the average temperature is 130 degrees F. Soft-wired and trim in profile, the unit mounts tidily to the wall or stands on the included U-shaped feet. A rocker switch controls power, and the construction is UL-listed. Fitted with a 7-foot power cord, the rack measures 37-1/2 by 24 by 12 inches free-standing. Basic assembly is required; all hardware and brackets are included. --Emily Bedard

Dries towels great September 5, 2004 55 out of 57 found this review helpful
I'd seen Warmrails in a store, and ended up at amazon looking for the cheapest model I could find. We had more towels than we had towel racks (a wife and three kids can do that to you), and my towel was rarely completely dry for my morning shower. I wanted, if nothing else, an extra free-standing towel rack to put it on to air dry. So I tried this.
It worked better than I expected. Not only is my towel dry each morning for my shower, but when we put two other towels on it after the kids have a bath, they're dry by morning as well! Three towels, folded (so there's a six-towel thickness) neatly over the top of the rack will dry just fine in just 8-12 hours -- and the innermost towel ends up nice and toasty warm (the outtermost will basically be room temperature, maybe just slightly warmer on the half that's closest to the rack, but all three will be completely dry).
Some reviewers were disappointed their towels weren't toasty-warm -- in that case, I'd suggest a higher-priced model with denser heating elements, or putting extra towels on top and using from the inside. The manual does point out that how well it works will vary according to where you put it in your home -- in particular they recommend against any drafty places. Ours is in the master bedroom, just outside the master bath, and even with a ceiling fan on at times, it seems to do just fine.
All in all, it's more expensive than a towel rod from the local home store, but you don't have to attach it to the wall (a plus for me, as I didn't know where I'd put it if it weren't free standing). It's also probably cheaper on the electric bill (and easier) than dropping towels in the dryer each day.
Warm is the word February 14, 2004 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This item does warm the towel or blanket, no it is not quite as warm as is is when it comes out of the dryer but then again it doesn't take as much electricity either. I bought two if that tells you anything!!!
Good year round towel warmer! February 26, 2004 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I have been thinking about getting one of those high end towel warmers for years. Then my girlfriend bought me one for my birthday and I realized that a simple towel warmer was as good any I had ever experienced. She thought I was nuts for wanting warm towels, but she is now a devoted towel warmer. It keeps the towels fresher and cleaner, and usually is warm enough to take a nice chill off a winter shower. Get another one to warm your robe. Great in the summer to dry bathing suits, and we use it to dry our sweaters.
Works great January 16, 2004 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Some said the thing did not work. They either don't know how to use it or have a bad one. Mine works Great!!! As for cheaper at another store, yea, but by the time you pay tax, gas to go get it, it works out to the same price and this one is delivered to your door!! Great gift and deal.
Very good product January 9, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Have two of those already - works great. Very good price, very efficient, can be mounted on the wall or just left standing on the floor. Doesn't take much space and keeps the towels dry and warm. Has a switch, so don't have to unplug when leaving for vacation.
