I purchased this item after seeing it reviewed on Americas test kitchen. It works very well.

Very cost effective. Keeps our precious knives working their best. Fairly easy to install; just be sure little ones aren't around at the time. We are very happy with our AccuSharp Knife Sharpener and the replacement blades. We've tried several different types of knife sharpeners and this is definitely our favorite. We love to cook and having sharp knives is very important to the cooking process, so we take this seriously. Highly recommend!

I haven't used the product yet, because I just purchased the actual knife sharpener with a new blade already in it. AccuSharp products in general have always been fantastic and affordable -- I'm sure when it comes time to replace the blade, I will be happy with the performance.
