Product Description * The Crystal Ball for the Bath is an entirely new concept in de-chlorinating bath water. * Requires no plumbing attachment. It works right in the tub * Removes 90% or more of total chlorine for a healthier bath * Uses replaceable media pouches * Improves lathering and sudsing with Crystalline quartz * Healthier, Younger looking skin * Relief from dry skin * Great for your baby's bath * Safe for infants, adults, & petsThe new series 3000 is larger, has more media, an increased water flow and a new latching system. How it worksWhen water comes in contact with the media filament inside the fabric pouch, the chlorine ions in the water are converted into a harmless chloride. The toxic effects of chlorine, chloriamines, and chlorine gas are eliminated with the aid of a special media called KDF-73 in filament form. The media is 70% pure copper and 30% pure zinc. Chlorine is removed quickly when the Crystal Ball is circulated through the bath water. The crystalline quartz mixed with the media reduces the molecular structure of water into smaller clusters enhancing sudsing and lathering of soap.More about the Bath 3000 * It is manufactured in our plant in San Gabriel, California. * It is patented (United States Utility Patent #6,245,230) * Suggested replacement is 200 bathes or one year, whichever comes first. * Special Note: The Bath 3000 is an American designed, patented and manufactured dechlorination filter. In 2005 we had to go to China to have our white inside bag and our nylon tricot bag sewn to our specifications. After six years our U.S. supplier had gone out of business. We continue to look for a U.S. based sewing company willing to make our bags.

It's so easy May 9, 2007 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is my 2nd bath filter. I feel better knowing that the chlorine has been removed. They say that chlorine can cause cancer and our skin is our biggest organ. So when we sit in the tub, we are soaking in it. The ball is easy to attach to the tub faucet and it arrived quickly.
Rainshow'r Crystal Ball Bath 3000 May 10, 2008 The filter works well as far as eliminating chlorine. My husband's allergic to chlorine, and he said this made the water much more pleasant (less irritating than it normally is with all the chlorine). The "refillable" water filter isn't really. The refill part is what's actually being used. The outer plastic part is pretty worthless; the bottom part came off and won't go back on and it's only been used a few times. So, I don't think there's actually an advantage to getting the refillable one versus getting one that can't be refilled. The one I bought claimed it came with an extra refill, but it's just the one filter. I would recommend the filter, but if you can get a nonrefillable one or just the refill part cheaper, they would work just as well.
Works OK but complicated April 28, 2007 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I have a lot of chlorine in my water and found these chlorine balls that seemed like a great idea. The way they desribe them is that you hang it over the spigot so that the water runs through the ball then after your tub is full, swish it around for 2-3 minutes. Well, the instructions say to not let the water run through it and you have to swish it around in your tub for up to 8 minutes. I did this for the first few baths then just didn't want to deal with 8 minutes of my life swishing the ball around. When I did take the time, I did notice a difference in my water but it's just an inconvenience. I have a garden tub so I always think I have to swish a little longer because I have more water than the average tub. It's been sitting on the side of my tub now unused for 3 months.
crystal ball directions February 11, 2008 The important thing to note about this product is how it is used. You have to first fill your bath tub, and then pull the unit back and forth through the water to filter the water. This may take a few minutes and if you are patient it may work, if you get impatient or don't want to take the time, don't bother with buying this product.
