Things you need to know November 6, 2006 15 out of 16 found this review helpful
This is a simply great kitchen utensil:
It's made from stainless steel which is easy to keep clean and which has none of the corrosion problems that plague aluminum.
The price is right. You can pay a lot for a fancy Swiss model-four times as much in fact and in this case, you don't get what you pay for.
It will add a dimension to your cooking. Dishes that used to take all day can be cooked in an hour or two and homemade stocks and soups will return to your table.
All of the safety problems that used to come with pressure cookers have been solved and there's no reason to deny you and your family all that good food.

Works great July 30, 2003 18 out of 20 found this review helpful
Fairly robust rubber seal looks like it will last a while. Instructions suggesting use of cooking oil on seal during each use are being followed. Little water loss and low flame required to keep pressure up. Quiet. Was a MUCH better deal when I got it in May 2003 for $... . . . Shipping box was quite flimsy.
Stainless stell dual function pressure cooker July 22, 2005 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I am very impressed with the versatility of this pressure cooker. Having two lids, it can be used more often than a pressure cooker. I think this pressure cooker will last at least as long as my other one -- 29 years!
You could pay $180 for a cooker but... January 3, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Why? This is a great all around pot with heavy construction, nice sandwiched bottom, and a good secure feel to the top. I used to stay out of the kitchen when my old pressure cooker was whistling away, but not anymore. I highly recommend the book Pressure Perfect to go with this pot.
Get this one... May 17, 2005 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
My new pressure cooker arrived yesterday. I used it last night to make a delicious soup. It's a perfect size for a family with children or anyone for that matter.
The ease of use amazed me. I would suggest getting Great Vegetarian Cooking Under Pressure or Cooking Under Pressure by Lorna Saas to help get the most out of it. It's a way to prepare healthy foods in a short amount of time. Since it comes with a glass lid also, it can be used like a regular stock pot. If you need a pressure cooker, I feel this is the best deal out there right now. I spent hours on the internet looking and this was my choice! If you take the time to really learn how to use a pressure cooker then the pressure will be off when it comes to the question..What's for dinner? Have fun!
