Product Description The filter used with this system has been certified by NSF International, a testing authority for water filtration products, and reduces copper and eliminates 99% of lead in tap water. Using activated carbon as well as an ion exchange resin, it also reduces chlorine, bad tastes, odors, and sediment--making it a lot easier to drinkthe recommended eight glasses of water a day. It comes with one filter, lasting approximately two months, and the pitcher is clear with a white top.
Amazon.com Review This pitcher combines Brita's reliable filtering with a very convenient narrow shape and flip-top lid for easy refills. To operate, simply flip the lid and fill the water reservoir, then wait a couple of minutes for it to filter through. Does what it claims to November 10, 2000 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
I have been very satisfied with this product. It fits snugly inside my refrigerator door so I save a lot of space. And the water tastes great! The one annoyance, as is the case with all Brita products, is that it takes quite a while for the tap water that I add to filter through and into the pitcher.
I LOVE BRITA! March 6, 2005 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I am a water FANATIC.. and I have to have water that tastes good since it is the main liquid I drink. Brita is way less expensive than buying bottled water, and as another reviewer said.. the plastic bottles can sometime contaminate the water they hold. BRITA filters out some of those contaminates. Besides all that, BRITA water tastes great. I give it 5 stars, and hope that you like it as much as I do. It does fill slow, and when its gone, you have to fill it up, and wait for it to get cold.. and that can take forever. I have one room-mate, and between he and I the pitcher was always empty. So if you are going to get one, get one that holds alot of water.. you will not be sorry. And if you are worried about cost, think about how much you spend on for bottled water. I was drinking about 4 a week and then some.
Perfect for the bachelors March 15, 2007 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I live alone so this is perfect. No one else to get mad at if its not refilled. Plenty big for one or two people, probably not for a large family. The design has improved since the last Britawater filter I purchased, for the better. I highly recommend this product.
Very good water and saves a lot on bottled water March 22, 2008 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I used to go through a case of bottled water in about 2 weeks, and it was getting expensive. A friend of mine had a Brita water filter, and after having some of the water from that I decided to buy one for myself. I have to say that I've had mine for little over a month and I have to say that I am really happy that I bought the this! The water tastes great, practically no difference from bottled water. The size is perfect for my mini fridge in my dorm room, and it fits right in the door. It is also easy to use as you just flip a part of the lid in the back and poor water directly into the reservoir (where the pre-filtered water sits before it is filtered). It doesn't take too long to filter the water, and I can usually fill the entire thing in about 5 minutes. You can then pour water directly from the Brita, making it very easy to use (it also doesn't look to bad either). In the entire time that I've had it I had one (literally one) black particle come from the filter, and it was easy to see and get rid of. As far as durability I dropped it once in the parking lot, and while the lid came up and bit and the filter popped out, there doesn't seem to be any damage to it and it works just fine. Overall I am very happy that I bought it, and I would highly recommend it!
Cheap and effective filter June 14, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
The water here in Utah is filled with minerals and doesn't taste good at all to drink. But with the Brita filter, all of the minerals are caught in the filter, WHICH I CAN SEE, and my water tastes awesome! Incredible filter for such a cheap price!
