Great Product in a Power Outage February 1, 2006 25 out of 27 found this review helpful
We've had ours for over 7 years and need a new one. A great night light but super when the power goes out in the night! Lots of power outages in our area and this product has never failed. Switches to a brighter light when the power fails so you can see around the house. We have several in different areas.
An Elegant & Simple Solution February 24, 2002 18 out of 19 found this review helpful
Unobtrusive, simple to use, and works well. I've already had the "opportunity" to need it while in the midst of a construction project. It allowed me to find my way out of my office cave.
love this, its very handy! November 6, 2003 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
I can't believe this item is no longer available to buy. Please see if you can't get it re-added. I bought another brand that does not have the extra plug in it! This item has all ready worked for us when we returned home during a power outage at night. This product is great!
Just the thing January 2, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought three of these several months ago. Located them near the stairs and exits for emergency lighting. They work as advertised, provide emergency light, do not block an outlet, and glow a dim orange when power is on. In my opinion a much better choice than the more expensive official blackout lighting boxes. Margie's comment: the "night light" feature is too dim to function as a real night light, but does conserve power.
Simple & affordable September 6, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought 3 of these. Setting them up is simple, you just have to flip a small switch in the back of the unit from Off (default) to Auto to have the flash light comes on automatically when power is removed/lost, plug the unit into an outlet, and the orange night light will come on. When you need a flash light, just unplug the unit from the power outlet. Very handy, as I don't need to keep a flash light around and worry about changing battery anymore.
