I guess mine are burning fast. But I have them on a marble plate and am not worrying about them going through or anything. Just take the precautions you should take with any candles, really. Don't leave them unattended, things like that. Any candles you burn over stones are going to get the stones waxy. That's a given.
As far as them burning fast, they look cool but I don't intend to let them sit there forever, anyway. I don't mind burning through them. They were a gift and I'm getting use out of them. I like mine fine and I think they are nice.

This was a gift for my new Sister in Law and she loved it. It was really hard to give it to her after I received it because I wanted to keep it for myself. I will definately be ordering again!!!!

THE CANDLE SET WAS PERFECT. EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKIN FOR. I PUT IT IN MY BATHROOM AND IT JUST REVIVED THE PLACE. I WOULD RECOMMEND IT
Great Gift! September 16, 2003
I bought this for my sister-in-law for her birthday. She absolutely loved it! She said that the candles smelled great and it looked very nice in their apartment. The estimated shipping time said that it would not arrive until after her birthday but it actually got there several days before (and the plate wasn't broken!)

The candles smell like soap, and the scent is strong. The plate is made out of metal, and the chart that came with the candles is interesting. The candles aren't as big as they look in the picture, but I was still satisfied.
