I bought this timer to control my wireless internet in the house. The kids need to go to sleep sometime and they seemed to play on the computers forever, now the router turns off at 10:00 and is back on for my wife at 5:30. If it is the weekend I just hit the "on/off" button to let them play or talk longer. If I am mad at one for not carring out the trash while absorbed by the internet I just hit the same button and its off until the preset time or I hit the button again. Lovely
Oh! one more thing, the plug is piggy-backed by your appliance plug, so both plugs are at the outlet and the timer cord by itself then extends about 3 feet to allow it to lie on top of my desk, no clutter. Its Great

as far a timers go...this one is easy to set up and easy to use. i bought it because my last one was not digital and made noise when it worked. this one is silent, and makes no noise. for the price...it cant be beat.

Works like a charm. I use with my slow cooker. The Digital timer works perfectly. I set the time and the times to come on and turn off and it works like a charm.! Yeah!

This is perfect for using on your Christmas tree lights (plug is against the wall, but this makes the on/off switch accessible without crawling under tree). I have a couple similar models from this company and they have all worked great with no problems so far. It does take odd batteres (LR44/SR44); they are expensive at the drugstore, but you can easily find them cheap online.
Note: the light/appliance you plug into this thing plugs into the end of the plug, not to the timer body itself.
