I was originally skeptical of this type of product, but after deciding that it would be good to control humidity in the shower room, I sprung for one. I chose the shelf model to place above the toilet because the design seems more likely to warm the towels and I don't have room for a verical one. The 65 watt rating is low enough that it doesn't use much energy, but the bars get surprisingly warm. I purchased a $30 time clock to control the shelf so it doesn't run all of the timeIntermatic White Self Adjusting Wall Switch Timer #ST01C. I have it set to run 2 hours before anticipated use and 2 hours after. The towels are now dry for each use (it used to take about 14 hours for a towel to dry completely). The room where this is used is only about 6' x 6', so the towel shelf is more effective since there aren't many air currents. This item lowered in price by about $30 right after I bought it, so Amazon gave me the difference after I wrote in about it. I don't care for the mounting brackets - you have to have the depth adjusted perfectly to get the shelf to slide into place. Once in place, the shelf is not perfectly rigid, but acceptable given the price range of the product. The finish appears good, but It's hard to say that the durability of the finish will be.

This product is very straight forward to install and does a decent job of warming towels. I would not say that it drys your towel especially if you live in a wet climate like Seattle, but it does a good job of putting off some heat. I have remodeled our bathroom twice since installing this product and each time had to take this rack down and put it back up. It has endured each one and I feel good about it's solid construction. As long as you securely attach the mounting brackets to the wall you will have no problems with this staying securely fastened.
No problems with this so far.

This product does what it says that it will do. We had an electrician hardwire it. It warms towels that I place on the towel warmer. I had to reposition the towels for optimum heat. Works best with only two towels (one on the botton and one on the top rack)........I like it alot.
this towel warmer was for a guest bathroom. I'm thinking about getting a longer towel warmer for the master bathroom. However, I'm not sure if it wil be from Warmrails.........i might go with myson..................
but warm rails was definately worth the money. good quality product............

Not bad for $90. The Left mounting bracket should have a screw attachement to the unit like the right bracket does (hardwired version). It was a little loose on that side even though the bracket was secure to the wall with toggle bolts. This improved slightly by caulking around the base of each side.
